Is digital art good for artists?

Why digital art is considered less than classic art. I think both are interesting and a lot creativity is need to accomplish a successful work, digital or a classic one.

Well, I don't have nothing against artist who use digital tools to improve their works, but I'd prefer the classic tools. However I use digital table to finish my cartoons. The final ones are really good.
