I love fantasy, but never really delved into it. With the death of my furry friend and faithful companion July, CHARLIE BROWN... I started painting a new series. I paint best when Im deeply in love or in deep pain.
I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted to paint, so I put up several blank canvases and just threw paint on them, hoping something would come to me.
It did.......fantasy art.
I will have to give it a name. Maybe the "Pleasure and Pain" series. I will post each one as I finish.

May I ask why you draw it twice? Isnt that once more than you need to? Youre a wonderful talent, so the reason I ask this is, maybe Im missing a step in my painting process that I need to add? I usually just draw it on the canvas.
Yes, before to draw the final one on the canvas, i do many sketches, studies, ideas. I choose one, I think is the best among all, I draw it again in the canvas. Here, in the final one in the canvas, i do some adjastments, if there is something to change, anything, the position of an arm, for example, well, i change it. In others words, the final ilustration is the one i do in the canvas. Then i start painting it. See this sample on one painting I'm working on. See the first sketches i did before the last one.
